Krum, Gracie Brainerd, 1874-1957.

Born Sept. 28, 1874, N.Y.C., daughter of Alburn Hager Krum and Ethalind Brainerd. Grad. from City Normal College (later Hunter) in 1894; taught school until moved with her family to Detroit. Taught in Detroit Public Schools from 1897-98. Employed by Detroit Public Library July, 1900. Worked in Catalog Dept., attended the Library training class and was appointed librarian of the Lothrop Branch. In 1914 began organizing the private library of Clarence M. Burton which had been presented to the D.P....
